Little girl getting news of forever home goes viral

Last Monday, her friend Miss Jackie Alexander, the office manager at Tannah's school, gave Tannah the news she'd been waiting to hear.

"I said, 'You get your forever family, honey, ' and then you see her jump into my arms", Jackie Alexander told KSL. "She was just so anxious and didn't want her to wait any longer, so that's where I got to play a small part".

Tannah spent the last two years wishing the judge would make her foster parents her forever parents.

In a now-viral Instagram post, Alexander shared footage of the moment caught by the school's security cameras.

CBS News affiliate KUTV-TV reports 11-year-old Tannah Butterfield says it's proof that dreams really can come true. In 12 years at this activity, this is by a wide margin my best minute ever!

"She just kept holding me tight, she kept holding me tighter and tighter", Alexander said.

To tell a young lady that she gets her family always takes the cake. "My heart was so happy!" I can't even describe that hug ... and thank heavens her mom doesn't mind that I kissed her a million times, and a million more after the film cuts off. "It was like 'ah!' I was like screaming", Tannah said. "There's joy that happens every day", Alexander said.

Jen Fisher of West Jordan, Utah, told ABC News that seeing Tannah's reaction on video was priceless.
