Claiming a fuel consumption figure of 2.8 litres per 100 kilometres on the combined cycle test, the efficient P400e's carbon dioxide emissions have been tested at 64 grams per km.

Like the 2018 Range Rover Sport, the facelifted Vogue's exterior has had some subtle styling changes inspired by its larger Velar sibling, featuring a redesigned grille with a different mesh pattern, Matrix Pixel LED headlights, and a new front bumper.

According to the report, the Range Rover Evoque PHEV will use a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor that also will work as the gasoline engine's starter motor.

Replenishing the Range Rover hybrid's batteries takes 7.5 hours from a conventional socket, although fast chargers and home-installed wallboxes running at 32 amps can bring this time down to just two hours and 45 minutes.

With permanent four-wheel drive (as you would expect), Land Rover is promising a respectable 6.4 second sprint to 100km/h and a top speed of 220km/h.

Two driving modes - "Parallel Hybrid" (default) and "EV" - will allow P400e drivers to switch between petrol/electric or pure electric drive.

On the sides there are new accents and vent trims, which can be specified in satin body colour or satin graphite "Atlas".

Other fresh technology includes a gesture-controlled sunblind, which lets light flood through the panoramic sunroof with the wave of an arm, and Jaguar Land Rover's Activity Key.

Inside, front-row seats are wider and comfier, with adjustment controls moved to the door panels.

Countering Range Rover's new environment respecting flagship, the brand has also increased power for its most powerful model the SVAutobiography Dynamic.

While final pricing and specifications are yet to be confirmed, we do know that the MY18 Range Rover will kick off at $190,000 plus on-road costs when it arrives in Australia next March.

New steering wheel controls are carried over from the updated Range Rover Sport, and feature touch-capacitive buttons and illuminated icons, while a new voice recognition system developed with Nuance is also offered.

Some of the tweaks coming for the new year include improved seats with extended adjustability, additional cabin power outlets, and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.

First seen in the smaller Sport, the Range Rover P400e's powertrain combines the company's 221kW 2.0-litre Ingenium turbo petrol engine with an 85kW electric motor, making for combined outputs of 297kW and 640Nm.

The facelifted Range Rover also features the twin touchscreen infotainment system that debuted in the Velar and was recently announced for the facelifted Range Rover Sport. The supercharged 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine now pumps out 416kW, a jump of 12kW.
