Thankfully, today Demi has been five years sober, but that doesn't mean she didn't have "anxiety" about filming.

Demi Lovato has always given her fans insight into her life, whether it be about personal topics like mental health and body positivity.

As part of her new YouTube special, Simply Complicated, Lovato watched clips from the 2008 Disney movie Camp Rock with two friends.

The story which is told by Demi, focuses on how she suffered with her mental and physical health in her early teens and how people around her found her hard to work with. "All of a sudden, she had to be this role model, and I don't think she was ready for that", said one of the interviewees.

"One thing I'll never stop doing is being honest". He's referring to the time when Demi punched her backup dancer, Alex Welch, in the face on a plane.

"When I'm comfortable in my own skin, I feel confident". When I'm confident, I feel sexy. "When I feel sexy, watch out!" Check out the trailer for Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated below. Its lead single, "Sorry Not Sorry", has been certified platinum in the States, and is Demi's highest charting single to date in the USA, peaking at number eight so far.
