Trump to host Singapore PM at White House

In a most civil - and hardly political - 13-plus minute celebration of the Penguins' most recent Cup, Trump lauded the Penguins' accomplishments, made a few jokes about them winning a lot and being so good looking, and nothing got overly political.

"The Pittsburgh Penguins respect the institution of the Office of the President, and the long tradition of championship teams visiting the White House", read a statement issued by the Penguins, as reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Last month, Golden State Warriors star guard Stephen Curry said he wasn't in favour of a potential visit to the White House with his teammates following their championship win last season.

He then asked for the audience to give a round of applause to the police and first responders in Las Vegas who acted following the deadliest mass shooting in us history in September. The Penguins are attending during a time of strife between sports and politics - Donald Trump continued his war of words with the National Football League on Monday, and the Golden State Warriors obviously had their invitation "rescinded" after publicly saying that they wouldn't be attending. He tweeted that he instructed Vice President Mike Pence to leave a game between the San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts on Sunday if there were any anthem protests, which Pence did.

According to CBN News, there is a clear Christian influence in USA's White House.

"President Trump looks forward to reaffirming the relationship between the United States and Singapore, which has been one of America's closest partners in Asia for more than 50 years".

In late August this year, PM Lee called Mr Trump to express his concern and sympathies over the loss of life and damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.

"It's been an honor to have them all here", Trump said. "Sidney, do you know how to win or what?"
