No, not the No. 1 draft pick — as so many predicted. The Patriots were able to overcome the shortcomings and pick up a hard-fought victory over a game Buccaneers squad.

The Patriots head coach certainly didn't make it sound like Harris will see many snaps against his ex-mates Sunday, when the 3-2 Patriots take on the surprisingly 3-2 Jets. But Todd Bowles knows better than to take Bill Belichick's bunch lightly.

For the Patriots, I'd say start everyone but the defense. They are kings of the division right now. They believe they can win now. "He's worked hard, been a great teammate", Belichick said in a conference call with reporters Tuesday.

Mo needs to step up his game if he wants to beat the Patriots.

Still, New York recognizes it has quite a few flaws, with penalties a major issue.

That said, Belichick doesn't sound anxious about his star quarterback, who missed practice once this week to get an MRI.

The New York Jets have won three straight games, but are seeking a monster upset win. If they somehow do win this game, however, then we might have a real Cinderella story on our hands. Only Tampa Bay, with four, has less. But they were fresh off a trip to London, and since the National Football League started playing there in 2007, only three teams didn't have a bye the following week, and only Jacksonville was forced to play a road game.

"We're building that unity and playing for each other", defensive lineman Leonard Williams said. Then they lost to the Carolina Panthers due to disgusting defensive play, only to have the defense help them defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the next week.

Opening the season with a loss to the Buffalo Bills was one thing, but being routed by the Oakland Raiders 45-20 made it seem as if it was going to be a very long season in NY. The quarterback is Josh McCown, who has tossed for more than 1,000 yards and 5 touchdowns. Not all have been so good for us Jets fans. Both teams come into the game fresh off a win, and both teams are tied in first place.

"I've been really impressed with the way they've played the last three weeks", he said, per WEEI's Ryan Hannable.

Said Jets linebacker Jordan Jenkins: "For us, it's not (shocking)". The New York Jets are set to battle it out with the New England Patriots this weekend for first place in the AFC East, while the New York Giants have all but admitted defeat. New England has lost two games and could have very easily lost two more, while the Jets have won three in a row, which, in and of itself, is a small miracle.

New England has allowed a league-high 447.2 yards per game, a stunningly high number for a Belichick-coached defense. However, Kansas City is worst in that category at a net of 26.2 yards lost per game in penalties, and the Chiefs are the only undefeated team in the NFL. "It's going to be a tough matchup".

"Coaches had some good game plans", Davis told Newsday about getting to the quarterback.

From the coaches to the players, NY has stressed a sense of unity that has only grown stronger with every victory. "We've got to at least cut that in half".
