CS:GO Professional adreN Discovers a Crazy Boost on New Dust2

It seems these jokes are for all the right reasons as Valve confirmed that it will re-work the iconic CS: GO Dust 2 map instead of releasing Dust 3. More than one CS player will tell you it's the only map they play. The last game update was October 5, which consisted of small, additional changes to the molotov-smoke bug fix. In that light, the beta update should arrive in the next couple of weeks.

The tweet Valve published offers a snazzy look at the upcoming rework. Althrough the developers have not yet commented on what exactly they have changed in the new version, the team did note that it wants to remedy some of the issues that now exist and touch up the map's graphics so that it is in par with the other maps.

Head on over to the official Counter-Strike website for the full breakdown, which is packed with side-by-side comparison sliders - just for you.

Dust 2 has been out of CS: GO's Active Duty rotation since February.

Dust II is finally returning to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) in a "refined" state that includes changes specifically targeted at the competitive crowd.

You can test the map out in the game's beta branch-here's some instructions on how to opt in.

The visual upgrades are also extending to the game's character models, with the Terrorist team getting some higher-resolution models to match the environment.
