Ivana Trump speculates Ivanka could run for president

The book is titled, "Raising Trump", and in it, she writes about her 15-year marriage to President Trump and her infamous blow up with Marla Maples, the mistress that Trump went on to marry.

In her book, Ivana refers to Maples nearly exclusively as "the showgirl" - and blasts her for "knowingly entering into a relationship with my husband, the father of three small children".

In an interview with CBS, Ivana Trump was asked if the president "wouldn't be who he is without you?" - to which she responded by smugly saying, "That's for sure". Ivana Trump, who was married to the real estate magnate from 1977 to 1992, writes in Raising Trump that she knew her marriage was over soon after a day in December 1989.

There is no love lost between Donald Trump's ex-wives Ivana Trump and Marla Maples. "It was ridiculous", Ivana writes, saying the real reason for her early departure was to get her elderly mother back home to NY.

"Raising Trump" is set to be released next week. After divorcing his first wife, Trump married Maples in 1993. The Associated Press obtained an early copy.

She writes: 'I can only shake my head at how it insane it was, I couldn't turn on the television without hearing my name'. Donald Jr. didn't speak to his father for a year after the split.

In fact, the proud mother writes that she wouldn't be surprised if at least one more Trump occupies the White House in the years to come - daughter Ivanka.

President Donald Trump and daughter Ivanka Trump board Air Force One on June 13, 2017, to travel to Milwaukee, Wis.

However, the pair are now on better terms with Ivana revealing she speaks to him once a week and has urged him to carry on tweeting. Her new book is out October 10.

"My instincts told me that Donald was smart and amusing - an all-America good guy", Ivana Trump said.
