Jason Aldean & Wife Brittany Return to Las Vegas After Mass Shooting

The president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship is alleging that Jason Aldean snubbed the chance to perform in front of survivors of and 1st responders to the Las Vegas shooting.

Jason Aldean returned to Las Vegas on Sunday, a week after the deadly October 1 mass shooting rocked the desert playground.

White says that he implored Aldean to perform and cited the significance of doing so for the survivors and for the Nevada city. "His visit helped cheer those who were wounded in this tragedy", the caption read.

Our extreme gratitude to Country Music Star Jason Aldean for visiting UMC today.

His wife Brittany Aldean took to Instagram, posting a chilling picture of the couple holding each other while looking towards the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.

Aldean, who was performing at the Harvest 91 music festival last Sunday when a gunman opened fire on the crowd of 22,000 people at the outdoor Las Vegas music venue, opened Saturday night's show with a cover of the late Tom Petty's hit "I Won't Back Down."

'Like everyone, I'm struggling to understand what happened that night and how to pick up the pieces and start to heal.

"His image was more important than coming back to Vegas and playing for the people who are his fans and who got shot watching him play", White told TMZ. Instead, he showed up on "Saturday Night Live" Saturday night at the same time as the event.

Aldean canceled his weekend concerts out of respect for the victims.

"You have helped us try to begin the healing process by seeing the strength each one of you have", she wrote of the survivors. But you can be sure that were going to walk through these tough times together, every step of the way.
