Jose Mourinho wants Barcelona ace Ivan Rakitic, Anthony Martial swap offered

According to a report by Manchester Evening News, Anthony Martial has no intention of leaving Manchester United as he is happy and content at the club.

Manchester Evening News claim that the France worldwide is "very content" at United following his barnstorming start to the campaign.

However, despite the report, Martial has been in fine form for Manchester United so far this season, even if he has not been able to hold down a regular spot in the first team.

With Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez expected to leave in the next year, Arsene Wenger is already making plans to bring in a replacement.

Martial, a summer 2015 transfer deadline day acquisition from Monaco, has five goals and five assists for United in nine appearances this season.

Mourinho is said to be a very keen admirer of Rakitic's abilities and claims are being made that the United boss will offer up the services of Martial in order to land the Croatian worldwide.

French forward Anthony Martial has been identified by Barcelona as a replacement for long term injury victim Ousame Dembele.

There was talk of a possible switch to Sevilla last season, but Mourinho quickly poured cold water over a move to La Liga.

Martial had a sensational debut campaign at Old Trafford, and has made a similarly bright start to the ongoing season, despite not being a guaranteed starter.

Martial and United face a tough trip to Anfield to face Liverpool on Saturday's early kick off.

Speaking of Martial last month, Mourinho said: "If you want just a word [to describe Martial], it's "happiness". I am very pleased with his attitude overall and then it's easier to play well".
