OH boy missing from crime scene believed to be in danger

Authorities still are searching for a suspect, but have canceled the missing-child alert for a 7-year-old boy who was sought following an incident at a mobile home in southern OH that left three people dead and a fourth hospitalized. Multiple people were found fatally shot and another person was discovered stabbed and critically wounded at a pair of residences in southeast Ohio.

A fourth victim was also found at a home near the triple murder scene.

Sheriff Jeff Lawless said 8-year-old Devin Holston has been entered into law enforcement databases as a missing and endangered child.

Our sister station, WSAZ in Charleston, reports that the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office in OH is searching for 23-year-old Aaron Lawson. Officials were hunting Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, for Lawson, whom they called a "person of interest" in the attacks. That person was flown to a nearby hospital by helicopter.

The boy, Devin, lives at the second residence, the sheriff's office said.

Lawless told the newspaper that all those involved were "related in some way".

Lawson has been named a person of interest after three people were found dead at a home there. The sheriff's office said Lawson crashed into a ditch before he ran into nearby woods where he lost police.

None of the dead or injured has been identified.

We are in the very early stages of this investigation and can not compromised this investigation by divulging more information at this time.

Lawson is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 139 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. But investigators have no indication of a connection between the cases, Del Greco said.

Police says Devin Holston lived at the home where the three deceased people were found, but was not inside when police responded around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
