Here's Footage Of 'Game Of Thrones' Star Jason Momoa Joking About Rape

An video of Game of Thrones' Jason Momoa making a joke about loving his role on the show because it allowed him to "rape handsome women" has gone viral.

This week, a 2011 video of Jason Momoa uttering a tasteless joke began making its rounds around the web again.

In case you haven't seen it, footage went viral recently of a Game Of Thrones panel at San Diego Comic-Con in which the actor joked about getting to "rape attractive women" on-screen.

He was on the panel with fellow stars from HBO's Game of Thrones.

"As far as sci-fi and fantasy, I love that genre because there are so many things you can do" says Mamoa. Although he used to be a fan-favorite character of "Game of Thrones" fans, many were surprised to learn about his rape joke after it resurfaced in the wake of #Harvey Weinstein's sexual assault scandal.

The video has been shared widely on social media since Weinstein's downfall, with one user calling it "horrific".

Momoa elaborated on the comments in an interview with the New York Post. I'd note that the show runners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, who frequently employ brutal rape scenes as plot devices on the show, are laughing too. I love her, but I'm hurting her and she's crying. I'm not a rapist!

Momoa's Justice League co-star Ben Affleck has been hit with accusations of sexual harassment in the past few days, to which he also issued an apology.
