Indian fans apologise for Australian cricket team's shattered bus window

The 30-year-old batsman had accompanied the pic with a caption which said, "Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!"

The joy of thrashing India in the T20 encounter at Guwahati diminished to some extent for the visitor Australia as its team bus reportedly got pelted with stones after the match. "In a remarkable piece of good fortune, no one was sitting on the seat next to the window when it was broken", CA's report said.

Sports minister Rajyavardhan Rathore has given assurance to the visiting teams, participating in the Federation Internationale de Football Association U-17 World Cup, offering to provide personal security after a rock was thrown at the Australian team bus in Guwahati yesterday. And after Australia strolled to an eight-wicket win in the second T20I, Behrendorff was told of the comparison. He added, "personal security of visiting athletes and teams is extremely important to us". However, Rathore said that the cricket team was satisfied with the safety and security arrangements made by the state. He talked about how Australian team and Federation Internationale de Football Association authorities are content with the security in the country and India will always remain a graceful host.

"Have spoken to @sarbanandsonwal ji about the Guwahati incident". Vow to take strictest action against the culprits. "Really unfortunate incident after a great game aimed to tarnish Guwahati's reputation as an emerging sports hub. India remains a graceful host", Rathore posted on his twitter account. "Investigation is in full swing & Police have already picked up 2 suspects", Sonwal wrote.

Miscreants managed to throw the missile though the Australian cricket team bus was accompanied by local police and security officials on their way back to the hotel. Australia are scheduled to play India in the third and final Twenty20 of the series in Hyderabad on Friday.
