Listen to the First New Song From Stranger Things Season 2

There are only a few weeks left until Stranger Things drops its second season, so in honour of the ever-nearing premiere date, Netflix made a decision to give fans a few clues about what's to come via Twitter on Tuesday: season two's episode titles.

However, for Season 2, the series may be taking inspiration from David Lynch and David Cronenberg, judging by a disorienting new teaser, titled "Nosebleed".

Like season 1, Stranger Things 2 as the creators have dubbed it, will evoke the aesthetic of the '80s and the feeling of Halloween.

Stephen King and Steven Spielberg fans will have another reason to visit the "upside down", as Netflix reveals the episode titles for the first six episode of "Stranger Things" season 2.

Tomorrow is Friday the 13th. The film had been released the prior June. So this new promotion sits comfortably in the show's wheelhouse. Photos from the season introduced a couple of them, and new character Max appears in the clip released last week.

"The Palace" is a little trickier, as is "The Storm", (unless you take it literally, of course), but "The Pollywog" definitely seems to hint at a new monster.

Out of everything, the most important glimpse is a possibly a flashback of Eleven's mother Terry Ives, who also was a participant in the Project MKUltra programme conducted by the Central Intelligence Agency at the Hawkins National Lab, and later died due to the consequences. Luckily, we don't have to wait much longer to see how things unfold.

The season 2 soundtrack hits digital shelves October 20 and if you want to take a stab at your own synth experiment, head over to Synthier Things, a website that allows the viewer to manipulate the Stranger Things main theme via a web-browser modulator.
