Men: The New Mutants first trailer actually ideal for Friday the 13th

Which oddly applies to Josh Boone's X-Men film, The New Mutants, as you can clearly see in the first trailer below - which just dropped on the very first minute of this fateful day.

New Mutants is due out in theaters April 13, 2018 - exactly six months from the trailer date.

According to the image, the trailer will be released at 12:01 A.M. PST on Friday, October 13. They're hormonal, they're powerful, and they're ready to wreak havoc on just about anyone who crosses them, as today's first-look teaser proves. Marvel die-hards have been looking forward to the footage release for awhile now, and that excitement only grew this week thanks to Anna Taylor-Joy. The director made the announcement on Instagram and his caption promises that we're in for something very different from what the X-Men movies usually provide us with. You can expect a blend of YA and horror genres for a story that revolves around a group of young mutants who are locked up together in a secure facility. As for its villain, New Mutants is said to use the Demon Bear as its antagonist, and the character has been associated with wintery excursions before. It's also been described as a horror movie set in the X-Men movie universe, which is something totally different from anything we've encountered so far within the franchise.

Josh Boone is a massive comic book fan, and he grew up loving Claremont and Sienkiewicz's New Mutants run. The team will be challenged by the terrifying threat of the Demon Bear, the creature that has stalked Danielle's family for years.
