Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Reveals New Z Moves For Necrozma

The new pair of Pokemon games are an "alternate" version of last year's Pokemon Sun and Moon games, with new storylines and features.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon has a new trailer out that reveals some exciting and explosive new features.

The story in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Pokemon Ultra Moon centers around the Legendary Pokemon Solgaleo and Lunala.

The trailer also goes into greater detail regarding the Rotom Pokedex. On the other side, Dawn Wings Necrozma learns the Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom Z-move which again pulls its enemy through a wormhole before blasting it with six beams of energy.

The Alola region's legendary trio (Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma) also gets new Z-Moves that follow the sun and moon naming convention.

A third, Necrozma-exclusive move was also revealed, the Psychic type Photon Geyser, which "engulfs the target in a pillar of light" and calculates damage based on the user's stronger offensive stat (Attack or Special Attack). These powers seem similar to Pokemon X & Y's O-Powers, which gave players temporary boosts to certain abilities and stats.

Earlier this week we brought you news from the latest issue of CoroCoro magazine regarding a few new Z-Moves and Rotom Dex capabilities. Using a slot machine style, players can earn new items to use like Roto Encounter which helps players find higher level wild Pokemon more often or Roto Hatch which hatches eggs at a faster rate. Points or prize money that players will receive for a set period of time, while others might make it easier to catch Pokémon or have other effects. The trailer strongly hints that this ability is only available for the in-game storyline and not in any sort of competitive play.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon launch November 17 for the 3DS system family.
