Redknapp>Wenger? Would Harry lead Arsenal to glory?

Speaking at Thursday's press conference, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reacted to former player Paul Merson's comments after he recently said the Gunners could win the league with Harry Redknapp in charge, the Evening Standard report.

"Tactically, he's one of the best I've worked with".

The World Cup victor is again available for selection but Arsenal legend Merson believes Arsene Wenger should take the extreme action of excluding him from the starting line-up on Saturday.

Redknapp was manager of Tottenham between 2008 and 2012 - and was sacked after his side took a dip after the former West Ham boss flirted with managing England.

"Winning the league at Portsmouth".

"We won our first game of the season at home and I thought we'd be alright and then went to Crystal Palace".

The pair have endured a frosty relationship over the years with Merson constantly bemoaning Arsenal and Arsene Wenger on Sky Sports. We were 2-0 down at half-time and it could've been 10-0.

"Harry came in at half-time and took three men off, put three at the back, five in midfield with three rolling attackers and we won 3-2".

Tottenham never won a trophy under Redknapp, but beat Inter Milan in thrilling fashion at White Hart Lane in October 2010.

"That's when I knew he was a great manager".

When asked to comment on the 49-year-old Sky Sports pundit making a return to the game Wenger snapped: "We speak about professional football here".
