Star Wars Battlefront 2 Campaign Hands-On: 10 Things We Learned

The aim of the single player seems to be doing for the followers of the Empire precisely what Rogue One did for the Rebels - showing that achieving your goals involves getting stuck into some supremely moral grey territory.

While the rest of the trailer is dripping with classic Star Wars imagery - TIE Fighters, X-Wings, AT-ATs and the Millennium Falcon all appear - the single-player campaign teaser also reinforces that this is a Star Wars game of multiple eras. Early in Star Wars Battlefront II, a Messenger tasks Iden and her father, Garrick Versio, with terrifying instructions. It will be interesting to see how this story spins out with players taking the role of the bad guys and having to take down the Rebel Alliance.

It\u2019s here that the combat aspect of Battlefront II \/em really comes together pretty nicely, as you lay waste to them using a number of special rifles, as well as thermal detonators should they be just outside your reach. Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and- was that Vader's hand towards the end of the trailer?

If the latest campaign trailer is anything to go by, this mode could be the stand out highlight of next month's release.
