The Only Way Is Essex and Celebrity Big Brother star, 36, announced the victor of Best TV Show at the Radio 1 Teen Awards - then disappeared through a hole in the stage.

She opened the envelope and announced the victor was Love Island, sparking the usual screams from fans, loud music playing and lights dancing across the stage.

The 36-year-old then appears to do a little twirl - but misjudged her footing and spun over the edge of a hole in the middle of the stage.

After she made it back on stage with the help of Love Island's Jamie Jewitt, Amber Davies, and Marcel Somerville, Gemma apologised and said: 'Oh my God, I am so sorry about that. "This is live, this is what happens".

"Guys it's ok I'm alive I've always said I'm like Bridget Jones don't worry everyone xx best and worst moment of my life", she tweeted to her 1.29 million followers.

Fans told her she was a "queen", "icon" and "amazing", despite the amusing mistake.

Fans were quick to console the reality television star and fashion boutique owner, with one person telling her: "So glad ok and, like Madonna, you were such a Trooper and dealt with it very professionally". Halsey and Pink are also doing well on the charts presently and they could have been invited as well, but the in the end, the organization of Radio 1's Teen Awards 2017 thought it was suffice with Camila Cabello.

According to Metro, she later told Grimshaw and Ora: "Apart from just stacking it on stage, I'm having the best time of my life". Love that you've laughed it off hope you didn't get hurt!
