63K baby motion seats recalled after 1 catches fire

Although the latest recall was only issued in the U.S. this week, the recall could potentially lead to other countries as the seats may have been purchased online and delivered from the US.

In another report a fire was contained in the motor housing.

Model numbers recalled include CMR35, CMR36, CMR37 and DYH22.

Fisher-Price has recalled several models of "Soothing Motions Seats" after reports of the product's motor overheating.

Health Canada says it has received two reports here in Canada, but there were no injuries. They also vibrate, play 10 songs and nature sounds, and have an overhead mobile.

The Soothing Motions Seat is A/C powered using an adaptor that is included with the product.

A popular product for babies has been recalled due to the fact that it's a potential fire hazard.

About 63,000 of the motion seats were sold from November 2015 through October 2017 at BuybuyBaby, Target, Toys R Us, Walmart and other stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, officials said. Here is more information on that recall.
