This year's John Lewis Christmas advert is here!

This year's John Lewis Christmas advert is here!

The clip will receive its first airing on Channel 4 tonight (Friday 10 November) at 9pm, with a simulcast taking place on all of Sky's own channels.

Roughly wrapped, it's clear that Moz the monster is the giver of Joe's brand new night light, which means he can finally get some peace and quiet in order to rest for his busy days.

However, this means - and this is where it will pull at your heartstrings - that Moz is gone from his life.

However, in a surprising twist, it has been revealed Joe is in fact played by twins - seven-year-old Ethan and Tobias, who share the lead role.

The featured song is an Elbow cover of Golden Slumbers by The Beatles, contrary to previous speculation that the song would be Last Christmas in honour of George Michael's memory.

The £7m campaign was directed by the Oscar-winner, Michel Gondry (The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and took 11 months to make.

It's all rather academic as these ads have become a United Kingdom institution and, once again, adam&eveDDB delivers for John Lewis.

John Lewis's latest Christmas ad was unveiled this morning, and features an adorable monster under a child's bed named Moz, with the monster and the boy creating a bond despite initial reservations.

See the advert here at 8am.
