Arkansas QB Cole Kelley arrested on suspicion of DWI

The Razorbacks were handed a 33-10 setback at LSU Saturday night, and several hours later, Kelley was booked in the Washington County jail on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and careless driving.

Around 4 a.m., Fayetteville police saw a black Toyota Tundra heading west on Wedington and Steamboat where the passenger side tires hit the curb, and a traffic stop was made at Wedington and Colorado.

Kelley was released on $935 bond for the misdemeanor charges at 11:46 a.m.

The officer reports making contact with Kelley and says his eyes were red and watery. Kelley took a field sobriety test and performed "in manner consistent with intoxication".

According to online records, Kelley was also charged with an implied consent violation, which indicates that he refused a breathalyzer or other chemical test.

In a statement, Razorbacks coach Bret Bielema says he's aware of the incident involving Kelley and that the university is gathering information.

Kelley completed 3-of-10 passes for 36 yards with one interception in relief of Allen on Saturday.

Kelly was ranked 16th overall by ESPN in the recruiting class of 2016.

Kelley has thrown for 1,038 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions this season. A second court appearance is set for December 15.
