Namely, a Snapdragon 630 processor, at least 3GB RAM, "entry-level" 32GB internal storage space, 3000mAh battery capacity, TurboPower charging and dual 12 + 8MP dual rear-facing cameras, all for a starting price of Rs. 20,999 ($323).

The Moto X4 will be exclusive to the online retailer Flipkart and via the Moto Hubs. The phone will be launched at an event in New Delhi. The smartphone comes with a metal frame sandwiched between glass on the front and back. The Moto Z2 Play offers a bigger 5.5-inch display with similar resolution but lower pixel density of 401ppi. For selfies, the company has tucked in a 16MP front shooter with an LED flash. There are also slots at the top and at the bottom for microphones and headphones.

The front fascia is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against nicks and scratches and houses the recessed fingerprint sensor, the 5.2-inch display, front camera, sensors and capacitive buttons for back, home and multi-tasking. The phone takes advantage of dual cameras to achieve an enhanced bokeh effect. There is a slight camera bump too, and it may be a bit bothersome for some.

Another feature of the Moto X4 is its double back camera setup, with one 12-megapixel double self-adjust sensor with f/2.0 gap and 1.4-micron pixels, and one 8-megapixel broad point sensor with 120-degree field of view, f/2.2 gap, and 1.12-micron pixels.

The mod can also capture 3D sound using 4 channel ambisonic capture for a spatial accurate experience during playback.

The camera gets some interesting modes/ features such as blurred background, portraits, selective black & white, 4K video and more. The selfie camera can shoot images in 4MP low-light mode, Face filters, Beautification mode and Professional mode.

It runs on Android 7.1 nougat with several software features including Moto Actions, Moto Display, and Moto Voice. It also has the Amazon Alexa support, and you can use it without unlocking your screen. Swipe to the left opens recent apps menu, whereas swipe to the left acts as a back key. A capacitive fingerprint sensor sits underneath the display, and it does the job. Lastly, tap and hold invokes Google Assistant.

Coming to the basics of the device, the Moto X4 features a Snapdragon 630 chipset which is clocked at 2.2GHz. The phone is powered by 3000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. It's a dual SIM smartphone and connectivity options, GPS, HotSpot, NFC, WIfi, Bluetooth. The X4 is one of the lovely looking smartphones out there on the market.
