New iPhone X malfunctioning in cold weather

The launch of the ultra-expensive iPhone X has come to a rocky start worldwide, after a number of users of the costly device have reported seeing a odd, vertical line appearing on the screen of their new toy after just a few hours of normal usage.

Curiously, one person encountering the problem had a vertical green line appear on the left side of his iPhone X display instead of the right. We'll update readers should Apple officially respond to the situation. The company had also informed users that the same OLED display could show blue tints at acute viewing angles and slight visual changes over time.

Apple, on its support page, put up a temporary fix for those frantically seeking a solution to this issue. "It's very noticeable", user reported. Users claim the so-called "crackling" or "buzzing" sounds from the device's earpiece speaker tend to occur at high or max volumes.

Some users reported that the iPhone X's screen would become unresponsive or inaccurate in the cold weather. Another user found the crackling issue at around 50 per cent volume.

Some iPhone X users are complaining about a couple of issues related to its Samsung-manufactured AMOLED display. There have been several reports filed on social media, and on the top Apple related blogs and chat forums on the web.

"We are aware of instances where the iPhone X screen will become temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment. After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again", Apple said in a statement to CNET. It is understandable that some these issues should pop up, but it is still hard to determine how widespread the issue is as of now. You can be sure Apple are already looking into this, and coming up with a fix.
