Lionel Messi's absence won't affect Super Eagles tactics against Argentina - Gernot Rohr

Mainz defender Balogun said the match is like a World Cup to the Nigerians because they have been looking forward to this game for a long time and they will give Argentina a good run for their money.

"The lack of Messi is not a plus or a minus for us in purely football terms", Rohr said to Sport Express.

The game from Krasnodar game is available in most nations through the rights holders' online platform such as fuboTV in the United States and on Sky's streaming service.

"It is a lot (of games), but we will try to take care of ourselves to go into the World Cup in the best fashion".

Nigeria won four games and drew two to finish top of their group in what was labelled "Group of Death".

This, no doubt, underlined the Super Eagles' praiseworthy performance throughout the campaign.

"From the time the draw was made for the group series of the qualifiers, we knew that in a hard group like the one we were in, the difference between success and failure could be down to little things that most people would take for granted".

The Eagles arrived Russian Federation via chartered flight on Saturday from Algeria.

"It's a big honour for me to be called into the Super Eagles. This is I'm here to learn but I'm also ready to do my best if given the opportunity to do so". And then extending Nigeria's unbeaten record in World Cup qualifying.

Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli was delighted with the performance at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, lauding his attack after the match.
