Ed Sheeran on Taylor Swift's 'Dress': It Wasn't Me

Despite mixed reviews, Taylor Swift's new album "Reputation" has set a record in the four days since its release. Now, the numbers are getting even more wild: As Billboard notes, initial sales reports say that Reputation has sold 1.05 million copies in the U.S. in just its first four days of release.

Sceptics have pointed out the tune's subject is likely another Brit, actor Joe Alwyn, who Taylor has been dating for the past year, as he has previously sported a closely shaved head, as she describes in the song. Swift is now the only artist to have achieved four million-selling weeks, and Reputation may even surpass the monster sales success of 2014's 1989. After speculation swirled that Taylor Swift's new song "Dress" was about her close friend Ed Sheeran, he ended those rumors on Tuesday, November 14.

Swift reportedly kept "Reputation" off streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify for the first week of release. Now, the album is tracking to be No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart December 2, with critics now generally praising the album itself.

I'm sorry, Taylor Swift can't come to the phone right now. Why?
