Intelligence Community Legends Say Putin Is Playing Trump

"As now led, by fine people, I believe very much in our intelligence agencies", Trump said. We agreed with Trump on that subject, and still do. "Every time he sees me, he says, 'I didn't do that....' Putin said he did not do what they said he did".

But once again, in that same answer, Trump chose to empathize with Putin, even suggesting that the USA ought to consider pulling back on sanctions imposed on Russian Federation.

Far from denouncing Putin's continuous assaults on human rights and free speech in Russia, Trump has praised him as being a better leader than Obama. I asked him again. It makes absolutely no sense that Trump would believe Putin and doubt the CIA, FBI, and United States Intelligence Community.

It's not that hard to summon up images of our president ignoring reports from his own intelligence agencies about threats to our democracy, with possibly dire results.

Calling Trump "gullible", he pegged the president as "probably the easiest mark Putin has ever had".

Finally President Trump and President Putin confirmed the importance of de-escalation areas as an interim step to reduce violence in Syria, enforce ceasefire agreements, facilitate unhindered humanitarian access, and set the conditions for the ultimate political solution to the conflict.

"I think he's giving Putin a pass and I think it demonstrates to Putin that Donald Trump can be played by foreign leaders who are going to appeal to his ego and play upon his insecurities", he said.

Vladimir Putin is reportedly deciding how and when to announce his bid for a fourth presidential term next year.

On Sunday, Trump said he was surprised by the criticism and tried to clarify his remarks on Putin, when questioned by reporters during a press conference in Hanoi.

After a brief unscheduled meeting between President Trump and President Putin, the United States and Russian Federation released a joint statement on Syria. "But it is certainly a possibility", Trump said. Donald spoke with his chief governess and reported back to the children: "She is very, very strong in the fact that she didn't put gifts under the tree".

But Trump told of his "great relationship" with Duterte, characterizing it as "very successful". They expressed their satisfaction with successful U.S. -Russia enhanced de-confliction efforts between U.S. and Russian military professionals that have dramatically accelerated ISIS's losses on the battlefield in recent months. Russian Federation believes it to be in its interest to keep Assad's Syria as a proxy ally and eastern Ukraine (indeed Ukraine as a whole) as a de facto part of Russian Federation.

The Presidents' statement is posted to the State Department website and on the Kremlin website. "So you look at that and you have President Putin very strongly, vehemently says he had nothing to do with them".

If the president means what he says, he thinks he must credit the words of America's enemy when that enemy denies undermining American interests so that he can "work with" that enemy in accomplishing America's interests. But they came just hours after President Donald Trump resurrected his attacks against Comey during a trip to Asia. We also hope clearer heads inside the White House possess the sagacity to guide him to sounder ideas than the idiotic ones he claims to endorse.
