Director J.J. Abrams oversaw the video, which features Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Ty Burrell, Shaquille O'Neal, Will Arnett, Wanda Sykes, Billy Crudup, Zach Galifianakis, Jon Hamm, Jason Bateman, and Matt Damon. While Affleck is starring in an upcoming comic book movie where he earnestly recruits a team of superpowered individuals to save the world, it doesn't feel quite as...terrific as the trailer that he and Abrams debuted Monday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"We weren't sure what [the movie] was because they told us that it was a secret project", Affleck said. Affleck, while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote Justice League, surprised the host by bringing out Abrams.

"Interesting thing about [Justice League], this movie shifted schedule, some actor availability dropped [.] and Star Wars pushed, I don't know if you know this, but created some additional availability".

Kimmel went on to joke about how Affleck and Matt Damon's have turned out over the years, with one having a far more significant role in a comic book franchise than the other. There's a new superhero team in town.

Damon, of course, played super villain Dr. Bolt. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash - it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. Batman's got one of the most impressive, deep rogue galleries in all of comics, and I think it's time more of them were given the love they deserve! Unbelievable. Thank you, J.J. Abrams, thank you, Ben Affleck.

Justice League hits theaters this Friday!

Alas, this wasn't a real movie trailer.
