Zoella Apologises After Offensive Tweets Resurface Online

Well, there's seven stickers, a ceramic bauble, a purse, a candle, a candle holder (called a votive, apparently), room spray, a teeny jotter pad, two cookie cutters, a pen, a key ring and, perhaps the most stinging, a bag of confetti.

"The Zoella lifestyle advent calendar is full of 12 exclusive treats which are all clearly listed on boots.com and can not be purchased separately".

Zoella is a huge YouTube star, who has a whopping 11 million subscribers to her channel which is aimed at fashion and beauty obsessed teens.

Earlier this week, many flocked to Twitter to express their disapproval at the hefty price tag, particularly given the young age of Zoella's fanbase. Zoella has yet to address the Tweets herself.

And in August, she was slammed by fans for posting a "jokey gif" of Bill Cosby on Twitter - before swiftly deleting it.

In the video, Zoella begins by stating she wanted to talk about her calendar because she wants her fans to know that she cares about how they feel about her "things".

She posted an apology when the tweets resurfaced saying "I would never say those things now and I'm sorry if I have offended anyone". "Stating that she had worked on the calendar for a year, she said:" I love the product.

In the video clip she says: "I am all about the creativity, I am all about getting it from a design to a product".

She explained that the actual pricing was totally out of her hands and set by the retailer rather than her own team.

A Boots spokeswoman added: "We always listen to feedback".

Indeed, one person went so far as to say the "apology" was "worse than the fucking product".

But there are some people that are determined to taint that wholesome image by digging up extremely old Tweets that she posted aged 19 and 20 that included homophobic and fat-shaming slurs. The product has seen its price slashed from £50 to £25 by retailer Boots, after it was criticised for being bad value for money by customers.

"We will be offering the product at half price during our Christmas promotion, where the calendar will be on sale for £25.00 from Thursday 16th November". I'm not flawless and I've never claimed to be, I'm only human!'.
