AT&T customers experiencing iPhone problems

While that solution appears to work for many, some say they are still unable to make or receive calls.

AT&T said Wednesday that some United States customers are experiencing trouble placing wireless calls but rebooting the device would fix the problem.

AT&T is advising customers to restart their smartphone or put it in and out of airplane mode and that should fix the issue.

Numerous reports of problems are showing up on Twitter, as affected customers are reaching out to the company for a solution. Several major US cities were also affected.

If you are an AT&T subscriber with an Apple iPhone, you might have found it hard to make or answer a phone call today on your device. AT&T has not addressed the situation at this time but users on Twitter are recommending that customers turn off their phones and restart them. In the Bay Area Redwood City activated their emergency operations center in response to the outage saying it was a result of a "software update to the system".

Just after 9 p.m. CT on Wednesday NBC got a notification from AT&T that the issue had been resolved and service should be back to normal.
