David Goffin sets up Roger Federer semi-final clash at ATP Finals

Grigor Dimitrov stopped listening to the Roger Federer comparisons years ago but produced tennis the Swiss maestro would have been proud of to destroy David Goffin and reach the semi-finals of the ATP Finals yesterday. In a dramatic finish, Zverev roared back from 4-1 down to draw level, only for Sock to pounce on his first match point.

"Honestly, I don't know what to do tomorrow", he said.

Goffin, 26, looked out of sorts at the start of the match, being broken to love in his first service game, but reeled off 15 points in a row to change the complexion of the match completely. Sock will play Bulgaria's Dimitrov in Saturday's other semi-final.

Roger Federer will take on David Goffin in the semi-finals of the ATP Finals after the Belgian No. 1 downed Dominic Thiem in straight sets.

The World No.2 looked too uncharacteristically agitated on court to suggest he was competing for a flawless Round Robin performance, but it seems the heightened expectations were taking their toll. A lot of chances in the first set but Marin served well and was a bit better in the breaker.

"This one wasn't the case, you are able to play a bit more freely and I think I was able to do that mid-way through the second set". But I'm going to try something, something different, something that I've never done in the past. Woods hasn't had a PGA Tour tournament win since the 2013 Bridgestone Invitational, and he hasn't won a major since the 2008 U.S. Open.

Cilic's career record is now 1-8 at the ATP Finals. And again 'come on Roger!' on set point to Cilic.

With both men having taken one win from their opening two group matches, their meeting at the O2 Arena served as a winner-takes-all contest.

"At the end I was happy with the way I managed the match".

The German, who has won five tournaments this year, including two Masters 1000 titles, began to swing freely in the next and unlocked Sock with a quick-fire double break to take control and send the match into a final-set shoot-out.
