Justice League: Ben Affleck REPLACEMENT eyed by The Batman solo movie director

"In all the films what I try to do, in nearly a Hitchcockian sense, is use the camera and use the storytelling so that you become the character and you empathize with that point of view", he said.

Roven was initially attached to direct and co-write "The Batman", but he withdrew from the project back in January. Despite Affleck's impassioned declarations of love for playing Batman while on stage at San Diego Comic Con 2017, there's been growing evidence that the actor will soon be walking away from the role.

Ever since Matt Reeves was brought on board, the direction of the superhero has changed, with Ben Affleck's scripts dropped and no longer been used.

Adding to the rumour, the current Batman star Ben Affleck also hinted at quitting the franchise.

Director and film critic John Campea revealed the news on his popular YouTube show, saying: "I'm hesitant to say anything, but I talked to a Hollywood producer yesterday who told me who Matt Reeves wants as Batman".

Earlier this week, John Campea shared in his YouTube series, "The John Campea Show", that "The Batman" director Matt Reeves supposedly already found the flawless actor who could replace Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader of DC Extended Universe. If that does happen, Gyllenhaal - having proved himself as a seriously gifted actor in recent years, and someone who previously auditioned for the role of Batman (before Christian Bale was cast) - could be a shrewd choice as a replacement. All of that rage is gone in Justice League, and Affleck feels like he's sleepwalking his way through that movie.

If he eventually leaves, the man that might replace him is Jake Gyllenhaal.

Still, there is a possibility that Affleck will return as Bruce Wayne in "The Batman" and maybe pass his cape down to another character.

If sources are to be believed, Ben Affleck is stepping down because of his sour performance in Justice League.

What do you think about Jake Gyllenhaal potentially replacing Ben Affleck?
