Off-duty cop stops armed robbery in Brazil while holding child, firing gun

Shocking video has emerged of an off-duty police officer shoot and kill two suspects during a raid on a pharmacy while holding his baby boy under one arm.

Sergeant Rafael Souza was with his wife and child buying medicine when the men entered the shop in Sao Paulo on Saturday afternoon. Much of the incident was caught on surveillance camera and has since went viral, with mixed opinions regarding the shooting.

Souza was seen firing his weapon behind the back of a man who had his hands raised. He and the other suspect, identified as 22-year-old Italo Creato, had apparently meant to rob the Bifarma in the center of Campo Limpo Paulista, while Souza was in the store with his wife and their young son, according to the Independent.

The two hooded suspects were allegedly robbing the pharmacy.

WARNING: What you're about to see is graphic footage of Officer Souza shooting at suspects.

He reportedly identified himself as a police officer before taking out his weapon and said the men were also armed, The Daily Mail reported.

Sgt Souza handed the tiny tot to her before the video cut out.

Interestingly enough, this isn't the first time that a cop was involved in a shooting while holding a child.

The two suspects, aged 24 and 22, were pronounced dead at the scene, the Independent reported.
