White House says President Trump not endorsing Roy Moore

"I'd say it was a meet", she told the Today Show overnight.

"Nelson claimed that Judge Roy Moore came in nearly every night and sat at the counter, but former employees state that customers at the counter were served by the bartender or short order cook - not served by the waitresses and had no reason to interact with the wait staff", the campaign added.

The Moore campaign released a series of bullet points on Monday that contest the account Beverly Young Nelson gave during a press conference with attorney Gloria Allred last week, comparing statements provided by former employees and patrons of Olde Hickory House with her remarks.

According to former mall employee Janet Reeves, Moore once pressed her friend, who was 17 or 18 at the time, for her phone number, with Reeves recalling, "I just thought he was the creepy old guy". She said she told him she wasn't comfortable, and he eventually agreed to take her home.

Corfman said she confided in those close to her, including her children years later when they became teens.

"When you're in that situation, you do everything you can to protect your own", she said.

Multiple women have accused Moore of pursuing them as teenagers, including one who has detailed a sexual assault encounter in a auto.

That raises ethical questions about whether the Post printed Corfman's story without trusting it; whether it misled her into believing other women had made the same accusations; and whether it deliberately created an impression of Moore preying on many underage women when it had no hard evidence of that. If anything, this has cost me.

Before the allegations emerged, Trump had backed current GOP Sen.

Speakers also cited Moore's opposition to gay rights and criticized him for opposing federally backed health care, assistance for the needy, public school funding and more.

Incumbent Alabama Governor Kay Ivey was asked about Roy Moore this week.
