Pradyuman Thakur was killed inside a washroom of Gurgaon's Ryan International School on the morning of September 8 this year.

Gurugram: A Haryana court on Tuesday granted bail to bus conductor Ashok Kumar, 42, arrested by Haryana Police for allegedly killing Class II student Pradhuman Thakur of Ryan International School in Bhondsi.

Ashok was granted bail by the court against a bond of Rs 50,000, which was reportedly crowd-funded from his village. Kumar's lawyer Mohit Verma ahead of hearing in Gurugram sessions court said, "CBI will give reply at 2 PM and then arguments will take place again".

Gurgaon Police Commissioner Sandeep Khairwar had declared in a press meet on September 10 that Ashok was the killer and that he had tried to sexually assault Pradyuman.

But the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is now probing the matter, could not find any evidence against Ashok and held a senior student responsible for the murder. The audio clips went viral on the social media.

Also on Tuesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) summoned a relative of bus conductor Ashok Kumar on Tuesday.

On Monday, the CBI submitted the DNA sample report in the Gurugram court.

Later on November 16, while making its submissions to a Gurgaon court, the CBI said its probe had revealed that local cops tortured Ashok Kumar in order to get him to "confess" to killing Pradyuman. "There were a lot of differences between findings of CBI and Haryana Police". Police had also claimed that Kumar brought a knife from the bus tool box and threw it into the toilet after the murder. Juvenile will continue to stay at observation home in Faridabad.Child in conflict with law (CCL) was apprehended by CBI on November 7 and produced before juvenile justice board on November 8.
