Instagram Added a Request Button to Join in On Friends' Live Stream

The recent update allows the user doing live stream to add a request button on their page for their friends so that if they did not join in the live session from start can join in between the solo live stream.

The request button will pop up in the comments section when you are watching a livestream, so be careful with your clicking. The user who initiated the livestream also has the liberty to disconnect the other user at any time irrespective of having accepted the person to join. You will see a notification for each request in the comments section. Once you are live, the screen will split in half, which of course, means you can hang out live with your friend. The button can be tapped in order to see the requests and accept or cancel them. There's a new little double smiley face icon, too, that will show you how many requests you have. It is to be noted that you can only add one guest to share the live video.

To access the latest feature, you will need to upgrade the version of your Instagram app to version 24.

Instagram Live update means anyone can join a livestream – here's how to use it

If you are hosting a live video and other friends have joined it, you can choose to remove the guest and add someone else at any time.

A few months ago, Instagram introduced the ability to let you invite a friend onto your livestream.

The new feature is part of Instagram v24, which you can update to via the Play Store or download manually from APKMirror. The more the merrier as they always say, this is one feature that will encourage engagement by allowing people to engage in conversation.
