The Envy x2, in keeping with Microsoft's always-connected PC vision, purportedly sports long battery life, almost instant wake times from a sleep state, and ubiquitous LTE connectivity. To further that vision, HP's Kevin Frost took the stage to introduce the company's upcoming Snapdragon 835-powered Envy x2 convertible.

CEO of Asus, Jerry Shen, took to the stage at the Qualcomm Tech Summit 2017 now underway in Hawaii to announce the world's first Gigabit LTE laptop, the Asus NovaGo.

It's just the beginning here at the Snapdragon Tech Summit, so stay tuned for more announcements from Qualcomm as the week progresses! It has some edge over the Intel-powered laptops.

What's more, with the lofty promise of a 20 hour battery life and the fact that it's actually lighter than an iPad Pro, this could well be the Windows 10 tablet to rival - and potentially replace - Apple's ever-popular iPad. The device with 4GB RAM and 64GB SSD will be available for $599, the one with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD for $799. The tablet PC comes with cellular and Wi-Fi connectivity onboard. "ASUS NovaGo reinvents the concept of laptop connectivity and productivity - it's the world's first announced laptop that is connected virtually anywhere, at any time, with the new Gigabit LTE network*; and lasts up to 22 hours on a single charge for "all-day" battery life". HP Envy x2 is slated to launch next sprint, the company hasn't provided the pricing and availability details yet.

The device is just 6.9mm thin and 1.54 pounds, it has 8GB of LPDDR4X PoP RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.

Both of these devices will come preinstalled with Windows 10 S but will allow for a one-time upgrade to a full Windows 10 license which will allow users to install non-Windows store applications.
