New Allegations Against Sen Franken

After days tentative rebukes and a call for an ethics investigation, Democratic senators are beginning to call for Sen.

Another woman is accusing Sen. "I look forward to fully cooperating with the ongoing ethics committee investigation", said the senator to Politico.

Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) listens to the testimony of Attorney General Jeff Sessions during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on "Oversight of the U.S. Department of Justice" on Capital Hill in Washington, DC, on October 18, 2017.

"This allegation is categorically not true and the idea that I would claim this as my right as an entertainer is preposterous", Franken said.

Moments later, McCaskill tweeted, "Al Franken should resign", while Hassan tweeted, "It is clear that Al Franken has engaged in a pattern of egregious and unacceptable behavior toward women".

Their calls came after Politico reported that another woman, which it did not name, alleged that Franken tried to kiss her against her will after a broadcast of the radio show that Franken was hosting in 2006. He has been accused of inappropriately touching several women. Al Franken of sexual misconduct.

When she fled the room, Franken told her, "It's my right as an entertainer".

Franken issued a statement after the photo emerged that he was ashamed of the incident.

The senator is facing other allegations that he groped women. She released a photo with her statement, that appears to show Franken grabbing toward her chest while she slept.

Several other allegations have followed, including a woman who says that Franken put his hand on her buttocks during a picture pose at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010.

Murray's backing is significant because she's a member of Democratic leadership and is the highest ranking woman in the Senate.

"I know that I am going to have to be much more conscious in these circumstances - much more careful, much more sensitive", Franken said during a press conference last week.
