Tag Team Match Set For WWE Clash of Champions

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs.

On this week's episode of SmackDown Live, Shane McMahon booked Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in a tag team match with Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura, and he announced that he'll be the special guest referee.

The prospect of Nakamura facing Zayn is a mouthwatering one to anyone familiar with the matches they had in NXT.

The match was announced by Shane McMahon during the opening segment.

Owens was then able to use the bolt cutters and break free of the handcuffs to begin a two-on-one assault on Orton until Nakamura's music suddenly hit and The Artist rushed over to the ring to even the odds.

Ever since The Usos beat The New Day inside the Hell in a Cell structure, the tag-teams of SmackDown have been competing in a series of unpredictable matches.

After Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn gloated about "outsmarting" Shane, Randy Orton delivered an RKO out of nowhere to Kevin Owens.

The finish came when Rusev knocked Kofi off the ropes, in part thanks to a distraction from English, allowing him to get a clean victory over the former tag-team champs with a vicious kick to the back of Kingston's head.

Other moments from Smackdown included Bobby Roode defeating United States Champion Baron Corbin after Dolph Ziggler interfered; The Bludgeon Brothers defeating Adam James and Josh Carr; and Smackdown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair defeating Tamina.
