Tremors felt in Delhi due to natural disaster in Uttarakhand

An natural disaster of 5.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale jolted Delhi- National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday. Everything was moving for a while.

An natural disaster measuring 5.0 on the richter scale having its epicenter in Uttarakhand struck today at 8:40pm.

The tremors were felt in Indian capital city New Delhi and neighbouring states.

Uttarakhand comes in an area which is more prone to quake.

Uttarakhand, a part of the Himalayan region, falls under a high seismic zone. Many people took to Twitter just after they felt the quake.

Some people shared their experiences on social media.

This is the second quake in Uttarakhand in the past 24 hours.

The quake struck the region at 20:49 (08:49 pm) at a depth of 30 KM.
