All 2018 iPhones To Come With Notch And Face ID

The 6.1-inch LCD iPhone would have a metal back panel and it will be available in multiple color options. CR described the latest iPhone model an "innovative device with a fantastic camera and attractive display", but average durability.

Us-based Consumer Reports recently said after an experiment that the iPhone X is inferior to other smartphones in terms of durability and battery life. The more affordable price may mean the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be discontinued. Foxconn has monopolized iPhone X orders this year, while Pegatron makes iPhone 8. iPhone 8 Plus is split between Foxconn and smaller Taiwanese rival Wistron. Kuo has claimed that this model will be featuring a 6.1-inch TFT LCD screen. The device is expected to cost less than the iPhone X successor, for it is sporting a liquid crystal display.

Apple might launch two iPhone with OLED displays, while the third one would be equipped with a standard LCD.

The Nikkei report speculates that Apple's decision may be born from wanting to reduce its dependency on smartphone rival Samsung, its sole provider of OLED screens.

According to a recent report, all models of next years 2018 iPhone X will come with Apple's Face ID and will feature the notch at the top of the display.

Alongside this metal-backed iPhone, the source claims Apple is tentatively planning two new OLED handsets, one of which would be around 5.8 inches (like the iPhone X, which is now Apple's only OLED phone) and one of roughly 6.3 inches. Additional reports from Nikkei and Nomura Securities Co. The 5.8-inch OLED iPhone would offer a pixel density of 458ppi, same as the current iPhone X. The 6.5-inch OLED iPhone would have a pixel density of 480-500ppi.

Both phones have gotten a lot of publicity, as is always the case when Apple puts out a new iPhone. Other items that Kuo has talked about on the smartphones include all three having a full-screen edge-to-edge design and a TrueDepth camera like what is found in the iPhone X today.
