Jennifer Lawrence On Weinstein: 'We All Knew He Was A Dog'

While the 27-year-old Oscar victor says she's never come face-to-face with Trump, she told Winfrey she'd "definitely" be prepared if the opportunity presented itself.

The Hunger Games actress said she would rather have been robbed than have her naked images distributed online.

She said she hopes to see "social change" and that there needs to be equality between men and women for that to happen.

We can try to imagine what she might say, since Lawrence came up with a short speech past year when she heard she and Trump would be at the same event.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Oscar-winning actress said how she had known the movie mogul since she was 20, and "he had only ever been nice to me - except for the moments that he wasn't, and then I called him an asshole, and we moved on". "I'll never share that part of myself ever since it got shared against my will, '" she said.

'He was paternal to me. I just thought, 'I'll never do that again.

Although Lawrence admitted she was well aware of Weinstein's reputation of being "a tough guy, a brute" and "a tough guy to negotiate with", she was shocked that he was just one of many men in a high position who abused his power. "I didn't know that he was a rapist".

Although it would've been best for her to condemn Weinstein's actions, Jennifer said: "we all needed a moment".

Lawrence told Winfrey that she felt sick as she read the details of Weinstein's alleged behavior in the multiple reports. Lawrence conceded that they were right; "we do have a responsibility to say something". "I was just sick".

Her friends told her, "You need to come forward, and you need to say something, and you need to condemn!"

Lawrence's revelations of Weinstein arrive as many notable Hollywood figures, including the actors Kevin Spacey and Ed Westwick, have been accused of sexual misconduct ranging from harassment to rape since an October 5 New York Times exposé detailed allegations going back decades against Weinstein.
