Manchester United, Basel, Roma, Juventus into Champions League last 16

Because Manchester City, United, Liverpool and Spurs all won their group, that dramatically narrows down Chelsea's options as they can not face another English team at this stage.

It was a depressing evening for both clubs at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday as neither got what they wanted from their final group fixture.

Diego Perotti scored early in the second-half as Roma edged Qarabag 1-0 at the Stadio Olympico to win Group C ahead of Chelsea, who had to come from behind to draw 1-1 at home to Atletico.

"On the contrary, it is a new challenge", he insisted.

With English teams leading four of the other seven groups, Chelsea's only possible last-16 opponents as it stands are PSG, Barca and Besiktas.

Despite that, they look capable of breezing past Europa League teams of a significantly smaller standing in the latter stages of the second-tier competition.

Group winners: Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham, Roma, Besiktas. We created many chances to score.

Hazard said: "It's not a problem". Things could go from bad to worse tonight as those three clubs will be the only ones Chelsea can face in the next stage of the competition if Liverpool win their group. "We have to play against the big teams if we want to be the champions".

Chelsea had dominated against Atletico until the opening goal, with Alvaro Morata going close and Hazard nearly weaving through the visiting defence.

Davide Zappacosta was next to test Oblak when the Chelsea wing-back unleashed a fierce shot that was pushed around the post. In fact no side from the same country can play another at this stage.

Christensen should have equalised from a Cesc Fabregas cross 10 minutes later, but the Chelsea defender somehow headed wide of the open goal.

Chelsea went a goal down to Saul Niguez's 56th-minute opener but equalised on 75 minutes when Stefan Savic put Eden Hazard's cross into his own net.
