Porn Actress August Ames found dead after Socialmedia backlash

AWARD-WINNING porn starlet August Ames has died at the age of 23, plunging the adult industry into shock.

This former porn star has revealed her secret to landing a wealthy older husband - becoming a Buddhist and praying.

The cause of her death is being investigated, but law enforcement said there was no indication of foul play, according to U.S. media reports.

Her heartbroken husband Kevin Moore said: "She was the kindest person I ever knew and she meant the world to me".

Prompting speculation as to the woman's believed suicide death, friends said a recent online incident may have triggered Ames into taking her own life.

After her death, some friends of the actress are accusing online bullies for pushing her to the edge.

The 23-year-old, who had a career of four years, had recently faced an intense backlash on Twitter after refusing to work with a performer who had acted in gay porn.

Following the post, Ames was accused of being homophobic, as social media users demanded the adult star issue an apology. She claimed that the medical testing was different for straight vs gay sex scenes, and did not want to participate.

Ames also criticized agents for not caring about who they represent in the porn industry.

Her death, however, occurred just days after she experienced intense criticism on Twitter for saying she refused to work with men who have also appeared in gay pornography, someone she labeled as a "crossover" performer.

Ames was remembered on social media by her fellow porn stars, including Charlie Sheen's ex-girlfriend Brett Rossi.

"Online harassment is a real thing and it claimed another life".

She tweeted on December 3: "Whichever (lady) performer is replacing me tomorrow for @EroticaXNew, you're shooting with a guy who has shot gay porn, just to let cha know".

Producer Jules Jordan tweeted: "Rest In Peace to August Ames, one of the best, nicest people I ever knew in the business".

But the Canadian died on Tuesday in California, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner's office.

A native of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Canada, Ames was a two-time AVN Award-winner with more than 270 credits since her debut in 2013.

Adding, 'Please leave this as a private family matter in this hard time'.
