Ronda Rousey, former UFC star, 'finalizing' a deal with WWE

Regardless, any potential deal with Rousey is likely to be more along the lines of the one afforded to Brock Lesnar; one in which she is used sparingly as an attraction performer, rather than a full-time in-ring competitor.

"She has talked about it and she's been on record saying WWE was probably some of the most fun that she's ever had in her entire career".

Mixed martial arts star Ronda Rousey may be nearing an agreement to finalize her long-awaited move to WWE, USA Today's Martin Rogers reported Wednesday. Although not yet officially announced by WWE, it appears as if Rousey will be making her way to the squared circle in the near future.

The MMA legend's UFC career effectively ended past year after losing to Amanda Nunes in just 48 seconds.

Speculation has been running wild over a possible Wrestlemania appearance next year at New Orleans for a long time now and the 30-year-old fuelled the rumours last September. I care about her, and she's got enough money.

Ronda Rousey might be looking to win a WWE championship belt. She's got enough money and all that stuff. A few years later, Rousey herself made an appearance at Wrestlemania 31, when she teamed up with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to clash with WWE bosses Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, but Rousey is legitimately a huge name who can attract a wide audience in WWE regardless of what she does.

In victory, Holm was the first to expose any weakness in Rousey's game. Rousey has been in a number of TV and movie projects, including The Expendables 3 and Fast 7, plus ESPN The Magazine's Body Issue, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, and she has regularly appeared on shows like Ellen and even hosted Saturday Night Live.

WWE essentially confirmed a deal with Rousey was in the works when it posted a video of the former UFC star in a stare down with wrestler Charlotte Flair back in September. It seems a flawless landing spot. While it's unknown what Baszler's intentions are upon arrival at NXT, one has to wonder if revenge is on her mind for losing to Kairi Sane in the finals.
