Saif Ali Khan states he won't mind releasing Kaalakaandi with Padmavati!

Mumbai: The uncertainty over Padmavati release date has left Saif Ali Khan anxious over his film "Kaalakaandi", which will going to release on January 12.

In a media statement, Saif said, "If Padmavati comes in (on that day), we will think of shifting our release date".

A Mid Day report quoted Saif as saying, "It's easy to think that people no longer want to see me in a film". Kaalakaandi was reportedly suggested 70 cuts earlier this year after which the film was taken to Film Certification Appellate Tribunal for certification by the makers.

Produced by Cinestaan Film Company and Ashi Dua Sara of Flying Unicorn, the film stars Saif along with Deepak Dobriyal, Vijay Raaz, Kunaal Roy Kapoor, Sobhita Dhulipala, Akshay Oberoi, Isha Talwar, Shenaz Treasury, Shivam Patil, Amyra Dastur and Neil Bhoopalam. "They were all good actors and I think my acting has improved after working with some of these guys". However, Khan cautions that there may be a change of plans owing to Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati. Personally, I feel it's a good time to have films releasing alongside one another. There are chances that the film might be released any time in the beginning of 2018. We all know that most of the filmmakers and production house avoid clashing at the box office but the Nawab Khan believes that the different genres of films releasing on the same day show the diversity that Cinema can offer.

About why he chose to get into the digital space with Sacred Games, Saif Ali Khan said, "It is the future of movies". You are going to Bigg Boss or Comedy Nights or something and talk about the movie because you feel that will help.

Directed by Akshat Verma, "Kaalakaandi" will hit the screens on January 12. I also don't think it was even publicized correctly.
