Winter Event For Call of Duty: WWII Kicks Off on Friday

With a new holiday themed headquarters and Winter Carentan map already teased at, developers Sledgehammer Games have more in store for Call of Duty fans, starting this Friday, December 8th. Players will receive one of these for free each week. During the Winter Siege event, all players will have access to Winter Carentan, a snow-covered winter themed version of the fan-favorite Carentan map, previously only available as reimagined Carentan to Season Pass owners.

Call of Duty WW2's next seasonal event is the month-long Winter Siege.

The Winter Siege is set to bring five new guns to WWII, according to the trailer.

Sledgehammer also released a bare-bones list of patch notes for an update that is set to be released tomorrow morning, with the "full list of game updates on console coming tomorrow".

Winter Siege Supply Drops can be earned for free simply by playing Call of Duty: WWII during the event. It will be winterized, with the beach encampment taking on a snowy appearance for the span of the event. Headquarters is getting a seasonal revamp too, with a visiting quartermaster along with new Supply Drops full of fresh cold-weather gear. It will be one of the titles in the Double XP playlist during Winter Siege. The character will give players the opportunity to earn Winter Siege Division Uniforms, Cosmetic Items, and different weapon variants. Winter Siege will deliver a ton of new activities and content to the game, including a new multiplayer map, the return of the Gun Game party mode, and new Supply Drops.

Once the event kicks off on December 8, new special orders will become available from Major Howard. Players can also purchase Winter Siege Supply Drops using Call of Duty Points in-game currency.
