As you starting winding down the year, watch "The Shape of 2017" below, and look forward to more viral content come 2018. It first started out as a simple compilation of the top videos, but it's since expanded into a massive gathering of the top YouTubers getting together to create a single video that showcases the year's biggest and trendiest things.

- This 12-year-old singing ventriloquist's fantastic performance on "America's Got Talent". We gathered to watch as April the Giraffe gave birth to her baby, Tajiri, live in front of an audience of 1.2 million, setting a new record for the most popular livestream on YouTube.

From the same channel that overdubbed scenes from movies like Twilight and Star Wars comes this comedic and fictitious lip reading of President Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony. It's basically years of science and social studies classes compressed into 20 minutes and translated for the internet era.

Despacito sits at the top of 2017's top music video list - not just as the most-viewed music video for year, but as the most viewed YouTube video of all time with 4.4 billion views.

- This animated short film about a closeted boy who fears being outed by his own heart will melt your heart. It has been viewed nearly 1.1 billion times.

Also featured in our top ten list, which does not feature major label music videos, are two Carpool Karaoke videos, Melissa McCarthy impersonating Sean Spicer on SNL and Jimmy Kimmel interviewing the famous "bat dad" family. Also worth noting is that six of the top 10 are sung in Spanish.
