There will be plenty of new skins too, and Kaplan specifically hints at skins for Hanzo, Junkrat, and Roadhog.

Winter Wonderland will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 when it launches next Tuesday, and the full line-up of 2017 seasonal skins will likely be revealed soon.

Since the game released in May of previous year, Overwatch has continued to grow its playerbase with new characters, cosmetics, and a continued focus on special limited run events, with the next in-game event to begin right around the holidays. "I think it's one of the most gorgeous jobs that our environmental artists have ever done", he says. So this is something you can do for now to mix up your Overwatch action - and then you can start counting down the days until the next Winter Wonderland event. It will still be playable in Antarctica as well.

The six-player boss fight mode will have players as five Meis pitted against a player-controlled Winston in Nepal Village. This will once again cover the King's Row map in snow and holiday decorations, and Blizzard Entertainment has also confirmed that it has given a makeover to the Black Forest map to celebrate the gift-giving holidays. Once Winston has enough meat, his Primal Rage ultimate will activate, sending him into a monstrous fury. The big thing here is that a player will actually control the yeti, which is a powered up version of Winston.

When the Winter Wonderland event is over, it will take Mei's Yeti Hunt with it. If he fully charges it up, the Meis will need to do whatever they can to escape. It's a race to see if the team of Meis wins, or the powerful Winston can smash them all. Anyone who's played a 6 vs. 1 game like Evolve will be familiar with the concept.
