Philippe Coutinho Unsure About His Future At Liverpool

Philippe Coutinho is justifying the massive price tag that Liverpool have placed upon his head as Barcelona continue to monitor his situation ahead of the January transfer window, says former England defender Rio Ferdinand.

Coutinho started the season in dispute with Liverpool, which refused to sell him to Barcelona following repeated bids by the Spanish team in August.

Philippe Coutinho scored a hat-trick against Spartak Moscow in the Champions League.

Coutinho's hat-trick was his first for Liverpool and the Brazilian insists the win over Spartak will live long in his memory.

Coutinho said: "I do not know how the future is going to be".

"When it was 6-0", Klopp said, "we were looking at each other [on the Liverpool bench] and saying, 'How did this happen?'"

The Brazilian worldwide was rumoured to have handed in a transfer request this summer mid reported offers over the €150 million mark.

In the hours since the game, rumours have resurfaced linking him with a big-money January move to Barcelona. Coutinho has declared that he will do his best for Liverpool in the short term, but also did not rule out a move to Barcelona in January.

"Of course a lot happened in the summer but my will is always to play and do the best wherever I am - that has not changed. Since I stayed I have played with will and desire", continued the 25-year old, shifting the conversation towards more manageable territory. That season, it was Luis Suarez who scored from all conceivable angles to become the official Premier League player of the season that year, and his equivalent this year in terms of goal quantity has been Egypt worldwide Mohamed Salah.
