Swansea matchwinner Bony: West Brom win was emotional

Swansea manager Paul Clement stressed the importance of the three points his side picked up, after a scrappy 1-0 win against West Brom on Saturday. But Clement's joy on the touchline is unconfined when Wilfried Bony smashes home nine minutes from time in a crowded goalmouth.

And the talisman who has been impeded by injury and loss of form since he rejoined the Liberty Stadium outfit from Manchester City this summer has revealed efforts made to rediscover his form which seems to be paying off after scoring two goals in as many games.

"From the moment he signed here again I knew he would score goals".

"I am working very hard to be back to my best".

"I am working hard off the pitch and I hope I can deliver what I used to deliver at the Liberty Stadium".

"It could've been a 2-0 win, but we'll take that the way we've been playing and the results we've had recently".

"We are the underdogs, no question, but plenty of teams in the past have been in that role in the past and got a result". Today it was important that we got something in front of our fans. "We really needed those three points and fortunately we were able to get them", Clement said after the game. We didn't give up.

"The dressing room is a happier place because we now know that with one win we can get ourselves out of the relegation zone".

Ivorian Bony punished West Brom with an unstoppable drive after the visitors failed to clear a Swansea corner, ending Swansea's seven-game run without a victory and lifting them off the bottom of the table.

"This win will help our confidence grow", he continued.

West Brom saw more of the ball and Salomon Rondon had the game's...

"I think he feels he is at a part of his career where he did so well here and went there and did not get to the level he wanted".
